Azerbaijan demonstrates a resolute position for the liberation of the territories occupied by Armenia. Steps taken by Azerbaijan to restore its territorial integrity are principial and based on international law. Invader Armenia grossly violated a humanitarian ceasefire agreement signed in Moscow. The enemy shelled our human settlements and positions. We witnessed many civilian tolls as a result of missile attack on Ganja. Armenian government continues irresponsibility on the international level and the other side does not intend to leave our territories, not wanting to make concessions. A humanitarian ceasefire is agreed so that parties collect bodies from the battlefield and exchange prisoners. Actually, the Moscow meeting can be considered as a diplomatic success of Azerbaijan, because Pashinyan’s government tried to deny the format of negotiations and basic principles. Armenia accepted both the basic principles and effective format of negotiations in the agreement. Remaining faithful to their traditions they attacked our positions immediately after a humanitarian ceasefire agreement, fired rockets on Ganja city. It is openly to challenge humanity, it is vandalism. The Azerbaijani Army did not and will not leave this crime of the Armenians unanswered. Our army continues a mission to liberate our native lands. Azerbaijani people fight against for justice. We are insistent on liberating our lands, nobody may mislead our people from this mission. On October 14, 2020, in an interview with Turkish “Haber Türk” TV channel, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev brings the determined position of our country to the attention of international community. During the interview, the Head of State said “We are now closer than ever to peace. Because the unity of people-government reigns in the country. Our army shows courage on the battle-front. Our occupied territories are being liberated; their historical names are returned. Our national flag is flying on those territories. Therefore, there is no change in our position on the Armenians living there. Azerbaijan is multinational country. Thousands of Armenians live in different parts of Azerbaijan, especially in Baku, and they are our citizens. There are many ethnicities living in our country and it increases the strength of our country. Therefore, the Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh should not be worried at all. Once we save their lives from that criminal junta, they will live better, safer, in a more secure environment and their well-being will improve”! Noting that Nagorno-Karabakh lives in abject poverty, the President of Azerbaijan said, “We will invest in it, we will implement social programs there, we will have programs to create jobs. All these will be a new stage for the Armenians living there and the Azerbaijanis who will return there”. In his interview, Mr. President also touched upon Turkish-Azerbaijani relations. “The Turkish-Azerbaijani unity brings stability and peace to the region. Turkey plays a very important stabilizing role in the region. The support of Recep Tayyip Erdogan has provided since very first hours of these clashes has maintained stability. Some may not understand it. If it were not for these words, if he had not said that Azerbaijan is not alone and that Turkey is next to Azerbaijan, then the situation may have deteriorated”. The role of Azerbaijan in certain regional issues is already very significant, and it will grow further. Of course, the Turkish-Azerbaijani unity will become even stronger. Today a new generation has grown up. New patriotic, spiritually and physically strong people have grown up under the conditions of independence. The older generation today has also a completely different outlook. Our state has strong will, strong army. Today, the Azerbaijani army has just liberated 8 villages from the enemy occupation! Azerbaijani Army has achieved even more impressive successes in this direction. Garadaghli, Khatunbulag, Garakollu villages of Fuzuli district, Bulutan, Malikjanli, Kamarturk, Taka, Taghaser villages of Khojavand district were liberated by the brave Azerbaijani Army! Glory to the Azerbaijani army! All our territories under occupation will be liberated soon and our villages, cities will be constructed in those lands.
